As reported by Sunday World, the new proprietor of the late singer’s residence has threatened legal action against Zahara’s sisters for allegedly vandalizing her home and malicious destruction of property.

Lumka Mkutukana and Bandezwa Mkutukana-Febana vacated the property on Friday. However, they reportedly left the house in a deplorable condition and took several items that were integral to the home, including a fitted stove.

Details of the Damage

According to sources, the sisters had occupied the home in Little Falls, Roodepoort, since Zahara’s passing. Upon their eviction, they allegedly left the house in an uninhabitable state, removing the built-in stove, ceiling, and wooden double garage doors, damaging the front gate, and contaminating the pool.

The sisters have been in the news a lot lately since the hospitalization of their sister. They began wearing her clothes and jewellery while she was sick in the hospital. After her death, they not only took possession of her staff but also sold some of her property and even awards won in her career. After the home found a new owner, it has been revealed that they left the house in shambles.

Estimated Cost of Damages

An agent revealed to the publication that the damages are estimated to be around R300,000. “They have caused damage that easily amounts to over R300,000,” said the agent.

Reaction from the Agent

The agent expressed disbelief and frustration, stating, “They stayed at this house rent-free for over six months. What kind of thanks is this? Who does this to someone else’s property?”
