Nompilo was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis (CF) at the tender age of 10, a rare genetic disorder that inflicts severe damage on the lungs and other vital organs. Despite the challenges, she remained strong, determined, and positive throughout her life.

A Fighter and Advocate

Nompilo carried her ventilator with her everywhere she went, including in her social media videos. She was not only a fighter but also a nursery school teacher and a vlogger, using her platform to raise awareness about CF and inspire others facing similar challenges.

To survive, Nompilo desperately needed a lung transplant, an endeavor estimated to cost R2 million. She reached out to the public for support, and her plea received immense generosity from many individuals, including renowned rapper Cassper Nyovest, who contributed R150,000 to her cause and rallied support.

Overcoming Cyberbullying and Negativity

Despite her incredible journey and determination, Nompilo had to confront cyberbullying and skepticism from individuals who doubted her condition. She remained resolute, expressing that she was unafraid of the inevitable and aimed to savor every moment of life while inspiring others in similar circumstances.

Tragically, Nompilo’s journey came to an end, leaving her followers and admirers heartbroken. Social media platforms have been inundated with tributes and condolences, acknowledging her as a warrior and an inspiration.
