WATCH| Social Media Uproar As Foreigner Records AKA’s Empty Grave
A foreign national has sparked controversy after recording a video of the late South African rapper AKA’s empty grave.
The video has since gone viral on various social media platforms.
AKA was buried on Saturday at Heroes Acre in Westpark Cemetery, Johannesburg.
The man who is believed to be from Malawi captured the footage before AKA’s burial and posted it on TikTok.
In the video, the man who was one of the gravediggers is seen recording AKA’s grave while highlighting that this is the final resting place of the deceased rapper.
The video caused a stir, with many South Africans criticizing him for showing disrespect towards the late rapper.
Some argued that the man had no authority to record AKA’s empty grave and share it on social media without the consent of his family.

Some social media users have already initiated a campaign to have the man dismissed and deported from South Africa.
Check out some of the reactions;
This is a huge disrespect to AKA who believed in putting South Africans first. Why was this job given to a foreigner in the first place when we have very capable grave diggers who are SAn?
These foreigners disrespect South Africans every time they get a chance.
This guy must be arrested he had no right to do this
This foreigner must be found and deported immediately
This is so unprofessional. You’d think this Broodie funeral parlor has a code of conduct for their employees.
It just doesn’t make sense why a country with such high unemployment is hiring a foreigner for this kind of a job. Sies!
