WATCH| Minnie Dlamini sets the record straight on her relationship with Itumeleng Khune

Media personality, Minnie Dlamini has recently cleared the air about the lobola speculations concerning her relationship with soccer star Itumeleng Khune.

In 2014, the former couple, who were once regarded as Mzansi’s power couple, called it quits.

Minnie recently featured on DJ Fresh’s latest podcast, WAW: What A Week, used the platform to dispel a common misunderstanding that the public had about her relationship with Khune.

“That worst misconception is that Khune lobola’ed me, that, that is the worst one. I hate it, I hate it! People still think it’s true!”

Minnie and Khune were romantically involved during a period when she was viewed as an IT girl in the entertainment industry.

Their relationship was characterized by multiple breakups and makeups, and it’s widely speculated that they were together between 2011 and 2014.

Their relationship ended in 2014, not long after reports emerged that they were engaged.

Additionally, there were rumors circulating that Itumeleng had already paid lobola (bride price) when they broke up, as it was believed that Minnie was still a v_irgin at the time.

Minnie Dlamini And Quinton Jones

In her interview, Minnie made some remarks about her marriage to Quinton Jones without directly mentioning it.

She suggested that she might have been too young to comprehend her own identity as a woman when she tied the knot at the age of 26.

Minnie’s separation from Quinton Jones made news headlines a year ago.
Despite rumors of infidelity surrounding their relationship, both Minnie Dlamini and Quinton Jones denied the allegations, and they were never confirmed.

The couple exchanged their marriage vows in a stunning traditional wedding ceremony held at Glen Hills in northern Durban, KwaZulu-Natal on July 8, 2017.

After their traditional wedding, Minnie and Quinton had a white wedding on September 16, 2017, at Lourensford Wine Estate in Somerset West.

The wedding was a grand affair and was widely lauded by South Africans who saw the couple as the epitome of a perfect couple.
