Trevor Noah and Lethu Bhengu Win Big A The Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards

Trevor Noah, a comedian, writer, producer, actor, and television host, received the African Star Award. Lethukuthula “Lethu” Bhengu, a three-year-old South African influencer, earned the Favourite African Kidfluencer Award at the 2023 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards.

Lethu received her prize at a viewing party in Johannesburg, where she watched the ceremony with some well-known influencers and their young children. The event featured impressive stunts, illusions, and tricks and was hosted by Nate Burleson and Charli D’Amelio, with Lerai Rakoditsoe hosting the Africa Special.

Lethukuthula “Lethu” Bengu is a 3-year-old child prodigy from Soweto, South Africa. She has become famous for her ability to read, and her mother, Ntombikayise Bhengu, recorded and shared videos of her learning to read, which went viral.

Ntombi started teaching Lethu how to read when she was just 25 months old (slightly over two years old). Since then, Lethu has become a famous literacy influencer in South Africa.

Lethu’s TikTok channel, managed by her mother, has over 900,000 followers and over 32 million views. Her Instagram account has over 26,000 followers.
