The Wife “Sefako” Actor Stoan Seate Catches Smoke After Anti-EFF Tweet

Twitter users mercilessly criticized legendary musician Stoan Seate for his profanity-laden remarks about the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) national shutdown that took place on Monday.

The EFF-led national shutdown demanded the end of load-shedding, the resignation of President Cyril Ramaphosa, and other issues.

Stoan faced backlash from EFF supporters as he used a profanity-laced tweet directed at the red berets on Twitter.

The Bongo Muffin musician’s tweet drew criticism from EFF supporters who accused him of being biased towards the ANC government after being awarded a tender.

Just because the department of arts and culture gave you a tender in the North West

We understand you singing for supper

ANC beneficiaries. We see you

You see what tenders do to people’s consciousness, a boy from the village of Matile in NW now thinks he has arrived

In addition to the criticism from Twitter users, EFF legislator Naledi Chirwa also expressed similar sentiments and went further by using profanity directed at Stoan Seate, telling him that he cannot act. Stoan currently portrays Sefako in season three of The Wife.

A little tender in the North West makes you swear at us for no reason? Fuck you le wena Stoan. Ebile you can’t act

While some Twitter users criticized Stoan for his remarks, others attempted to be the voice of reason, condemning those who attacked him for voicing his opinion.

South Africans on Twitter have praised fellow musician Prince Kaybee for supporting the EFF and participating in the national shutdown.

When other public figures stand up for EFF no one hails insults on them. Prince Kaybee is vocal on supporting EFF and everyone is twerking for him but Stoan is being attacked, we are not serious.

The replies here 🙄🙄🙄 people attacking a person because he doesn’t support their party… BUWA STOAN BUWA
