AKA Funeral

Premier Panyaza Lesufi has said that the government is set to give financial support to the family of Kiernan’ AKA’ Forbes, who was killed last Friday in Durban.

On Wednesday, Lesufi announced that the government would help AKA’s family as an expression of its sympathy to the deceased.

However, social media users are divided about this announcement, with some saying that the government needs to concentrate on issues affecting the country.

Netizens think the government should focus its attention and channel resources on things like stopping crime, infrastructure development and creating more jobs instead of giving financial support to AKA’s family.

This is all they do. Offer support and go make headlines, then forget about us. What are they doing about crime? Why aren’t they amending the constitution and policies for harsher sentences, death penalties,” – one user @Penelope said on the development.

“This is very unnecessary; we need the government to help us stop crime, fix infrastructure and create jobs. Can ANC focus on the serious issues and stop playing Games with us,” another user @Sbuja added.

The recent news about the death of AKA has caused a big stir, with reports that Cassper Nyovest and Nellie Tembe’s father could be called in for questioning by the police in the murder case of AKA.

The KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner, Lt Gen Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi, said that the police are investigating all the individuals who ‘beefed’ with rapper AKA to determine who could have ordered a hit that led to the death of Fela In Versace singer.

Meanwhile, people are looking forward to attending the funeral of AKA, which is scheduled on Friday, February 17th, and a private funeral pencilled on Saturday, February 18th. The family confirmed that tickets to the services have already sold out.
