R&B sensation Summer Walker has created a buzz by announcing her admiration for South African singer Tyla, leading to an upcoming remix collaboration.

Summer is set to release a remix EP featuring three fresh versions of her hit track, ‘Girls Need Love.’ This EP, titled ‘Girls Need Love (Girls Mix),’ will not only showcase the remarkable talents of Tyla but also feature collaborations with artists Tink and Victoria Monét.
In a recent tweet, Summer expressed her desire to shed light on these talented female artists, stating, “We are thriving and I want to shine light on these beautiful ladies because girls need love.”

Summer also expressed her admiration for Tyla’s latest single ‘Water,’ which has taken the world by storm. ‘Water’ has garnered over 65 million streams on Spotify and earned Tyla her first entry on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The track has also claimed the number one spot on the UK’s Official Afrobeats Chart.
Tyla’s genre-blending music, fusing amapiano, pop, and R&B, has gathered her a global fanbase and secured a place in the top 10 on the Official Single Chart.
The Upcoming EP Release
Fans won’t have to wait long to enjoy this exciting collaboration, as Summer Walker’s EP featuring Tyla is scheduled for release on Friday, October 20, 2023. The EP will not only feature the new remixes but also the original solo version of ‘Girls Need Love’ and an acoustic rendition.
This track initially appeared on Summer’s 2018 mixtape, ‘Last Day of Summer,’ and previously received a remix with Drake in 2019. As Summer puts it, ‘Last Day of Summer’ is officially platinum, and she’s releasing new ‘Girls Need Love’ Remixes to celebrate.
