In a stunning turn of events, South African artist Kelly Khumalo has been accused as the mastermind behind the assassination of Senzo Meyiwa.

During cross-examination at the North Gauteng High Court in Pretoria, Brigadier Bongani Ginida, the lead investigator in the Senzo Meyiwa murder case, dropped this bombshell revelation.

The ‘Ngathwala Ngaye’ singer was romantically involved with Senzo Meyiwa at the time of his tragic death in 2014. Meyiwa was shot and killed at Khumalo’s residence in Vosloorus.

Cellphone linkages between Kelly Khumalo and accused 3 and 5 were revealed in the affidavit. The affidavit suggests that Khumalo harbored strong animosity towards Meyiwa and wanted to eliminate him, possibly through fatal means.

Unraveling the Assassination Plot

This shocking revelation follows Brigadier Bongani Gininda’s disclosure in court that Senzo Meyiwa was not a victim of a botched robbery but rather a carefully planned assassination. Brigadier Gininda, the head of the SA Police Service’s National Cold Case Unit, shattered the previous belief of a robbery gone wrong and revealed that Meyiwa’s death was orchestrated as a contract killing.

According to Gininda, evidence from the investigation indicates that a group of five individuals, recognized hitmen with a history of contract killings during the KwaZulu-Natal taxi wars, executed the premeditated assassination of Senzo Meyiwa.
