South African actor Sello Maake Ncube recently found himself taking to social media to defend his marriage to Pearl Mbewe Maake Kancube. After rumours started flying, the former Generations actor’s family had failed to show up at Pearl’s family house for the last leg of the lobola payment.
In a lengthy Instagram post, the actor dismissed claims that they had hit a snag of any sort while reasserting his love and affection for his gorgeous bride.
Sello Maake Ncube Addresses Marriage Rumors
Sello Maake Ncube is not one to keep quiet when something upsets him. He recently took to his Instagram page to address rumours that he failed to pay the final lobola payment for his wife, Pearl Mbewe.
The news was reported by local publication Zimoja after a source told them that Pearl’s family waited the whole day for Maake-Ka Ncube’s family to arrive at their family home where the lobola was meant to be paid.

Sello Maake KaNcube believes that the hiring process was biased and lacked transparency.
“I was not going to address the stories which are making the rounds,” began the actor before explaining why he decided to address the latest talk around his union.
“This was simply because people will always write what they want and we have no control over that, we however, own our own narrative!”
He went on to say he is only setting the record straight for the sake of their supporters and that she is his one and only.
“I need to set the record straight for those who keep praying and love our union! The rest we read their comments and only feel sorry for them!
“Here is nothing but truth! She is the only Mrs Maake kaNcube that I know and love! ❤️ Pearl Mbewe Maake Kancube Don’t celebrate other’s ‘downfalls’ prematurely. Life is but a journey!”
