According to a report by Sunday World, the couple, who had been living apart for ten years, had made efforts to rekindle their marriage without success.
Ringo Madlingozi’s Decision to File for Divorce
A source close to the couple revealed that Ringo Madlingozi decided to file for divorce because his wife, Nomfundo Nyathi, 58, no longer shared the same ambitions and dreams as him.
The couple, who exchanged vows in 2004, has reportedly already signed a settlement agreement, ensuring that they will retain their respective assets and pension funds.

In April 2008, Sunday World reported that Nyathi moved out of their marital home due to concerns about Madlingozi’s alleged relationships with other women and his frequent nights away from home.

The news of this divorce comes just a week after Ringo Madlingozi announced his new music deal with Sony Music Entertainment. This deal will make 13 albums from his extensive catalog, both old and new, available on streaming platforms for the first time.
