Prince Kaybee Sparks Controversy After Claiming Uncle Waffles’ Career Was Curated By Men

South African DJ and music producer Prince Kaybee recently caused a stir on social media after making a bold statement that men had curated the career of rising star Uncle Waffles. The female DJ gained fame after a viral video of her dancing and spinning decks to the hit song Adiwele, surrounded by a driven team of young men. However, Kaybee’s comment about the involvement of men in her career has sparked debate among fans and detractors alike.

Prince Kaybee’s comment came after he watched a clip of Uncle Waffles dancing with American artist Ciara. He wrote, “I remember a discourse dictum stocking up that there are too many men managing her, the hate was appalling beyond comprehension. What a successful career these men have curated.” Kaybee’s statement led to questions about the involvement of men in Uncle Waffles’ success and raised concerns about possible gender bias.

Uncle Waffles responds to criticism and defends her management team

Uncle Waffles was forced to address the growing criticism of her management team and the hate she had been receiving online. She took to social media to clarify that her team comprised people who had helped her rise to fame.  Uncle Waffles said that they were an essential part of her support system.

She stated, “Everything being posted is being twisted and taken out of context. KK and everyone is my family. My moment is being stripped away because now people in my life who helped me and believed in me before a lot of people are becoming affected.”

Uncle Waffles also responded to criticism from YouTuber Slik Talk, who labelled her as a bad DJ. The troll predicted that she would fall off the scene once the Adiwele song lost popularity. Waffles defended herself by stating that her team was instrumental in her success. She said that they were the reason for her meteoric rise to fame.
