Open Mic Manager Explains Why Makhadzi Did Not Perform At Tzaneen

Open Mic label manager, Brenden Maseko, has denied reports that musician Makhadzi was a no-show at an event in Limpopo. According to TshisaLIVE, Maseko stated that the musician was never booked for the event at Tzaneen.

Makhadzi was reportedly booked by businessman Jeffrey Malatji to perform at Ejays Lounge in Moime village outside Tzaneen on Saturday. However, the businessman claims that Makhadzi did not attend the show because she was not paid.

King Monada takes responsibility for Makhadzi not showing up at Tzaneen

King Monada’s manager, Makwela Makwela, referred TshisaLIVE to a Facebook post by King Monada, who said he took “full responsibility” and said anything else was none of their business. In the post, King Monada stated that anyone who wants to write bad things about Makhadzi for not showing up at his event should rather write about him.

Makwela scolded TshisaLIVE when asked about what the “full responsibility” statement meant, saying the reports are stirring up unnecessary trouble between the pair. However, Open Mic has confirmed that Makhadzi was indeed booked for the event, but there is no proof of payment to Open Mic or Makhadzi from Malatji.

Makhadzi’s recent performance in Zimbabwe

Makhadzi recently performed at a concert in Zimbabwe that did not go as planned, as fans disrupted the show. Speaking to TshisaLIVE previously, Maseko said the performance was cut short to restore order, and they did not want to put others at risk. However, he stated that it was a beautiful performance, and people still love Makhadzi.
