Tweeps have brought up one of never seen before comic clips of the US former president, Barack Obama in an interview with South Africa’s Trevor Noah.

The two were sharing a light-hearted conversation on late-night Comedy Central’s The Daily Show with Trevor Noah where Obama unpacked his hopes for inspiring a new generation of change-makers through his book “A Promised Land” and the Obama Foundation, the ways America’s position on the world stage has evolved, and why the fight for justice calls for a variety of voices.

The in-depth interview was done on Tuesday, December 15, 2020.

Within the interview, Trevor Noah stresses that the former Commander-in-Chief of the US is transitioning from his office life to that of an ordinary citizen.

He asks how Obama has managed to transition to being an ordinary citizen – who’s is not as important as he was before.

“When you transition back to personal life, I wonder what that is like because unlike you I do not have that power to change the world or do something about it. Because in many ways you are like me…you see a thing on TV and you get angry or sad and can’t really do something about it,” Trevor asked.

To which Obama gave a savage response;

Well, first of all, I am not anything like you. I still have a lot more influence and clout. So let’s just be clear and try to keep things in perspective.”

Social media went abuzz when the clip finally surfaced.

Tweeps believe Obama was in for a roast fest and served Trevor good in his savage response.
