Mase Named Pastor Of Atlanta Church

Pastor Mase is back! The legendary hip hop star and preacher is now the leader of Gathering Oasis Church in Atlanta. The church announced his leadership this past Sunday.

The church officially welcomed Mase as their new leader, tweeting his photo on their official Twitter account, referring to him as Pastor Mason Betha. They tweeted, “Join us in welcoming our new leader, Pastor Mason Betha!”

During the late 1990s, Mase rose to stardom by recording at Bad Boy Records alongside Sean “Diddy” Combs. The Bad Boy Records superstar retired from hip hop in 1999. He pursued a calling from God, to become a minister. Subsequently, he was ordained and continued his studies at Clark Atlanta University.

He would make a return after his hiatus. The return came with a single ‘Welcome Back’ with fellow Bad Boyfriend Diddy making the announcement in the music video. Mase joined G-Unit and released his ‘Welcome Back’ album.

Mase seems to have found a perfect balance between the two worlds. However, Pastor Mase is ready to take on the pulpit again. In a new video, speaking on his position, Mase says, “I really see this generation being turned back to God’s hands I think there’s been a major challenge with the city like being able to direct people back to God and I really welcome the challenge”

The video also gives a glimpse of past church services and those who led the church before Pastor Mase’s arrival.

Mase took to Instagram to thank the church for the warm welcome. He wrote, “THANK YOU 🙏🏾 Also tag someone who is expecting something great from God and let them know that God has already started answering prayers in 2021. Tag someone looking for a new church family and remember “ALL PEOPLE ARE WELCOMED” at @thegochurch.”
