Award-winning musician Makhadzi launches new record label

On May 14th, Ndivhudzannyi Ralivhona, known by her stage name Makhadzi, took to Twitter to announce that she had officially launched her own record label, Makhadzi Entertainment. This announcement comes following her recent drama with Open Mic Productions, her former record label. Despite pending contractual issues with Open Mic Productions, Makhadzi has shown her resilience by opening up her own record label.

Makhadzi shared her excitement on Twitter, writing, “Auto-renewal EP loading under Makhadzi entertainment. After 15 years of hard work. I will be getting to know how much I make on sales for the first time in my life. All thanks to everyone who was booking me all these years I was not gonna afford to live.” This news was met with positive reactions from her fans and followers, who praised her for taking control of her career.

Makhadzi’s recent performance

According to Zalebs, Makhadzi recently missed a gig that she was booked to perform at on April 30th at the Dries Niemandt Park in Kempton Park. She was reportedly paid R80,000 for her attendance and performance but did not show up. Other popular entertainers, such as Somizi, Sjava, Young Stunna, DJ Fresh, and DJ Maphorisa, were also reportedly booked to perform at the event.
