Makhadzi accused of not paying her stylist R2 700 and taking her outfit
Makhadzi, the award-winning musician, has been in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons lately. She has faced controversies over contract issues, promoter scams, and now, a stylist who claims she owes her money and clothes.
Stylist says Makhadzi owes her R2 700 and a designer outfit
Zoe Bhozza, a well-known Johannesburg designer, alleges that Makhadzi hired her for a music video shoot in April and never paid her the agreed fee of R2 700. She also claims that Makhadzi took one of her designer outfits and promised to pay R800 for it, but never did.
Bhozza told Sunday World that she was introduced to Makhadzi by her videographer, Zee, who asked her to style the singer for the shoot. She said she initially charged R5 000 for three outfit changes, but lowered the price to R2 700 after Zee complained. She said she gave Makhadzi a discount of R2 300, but still did not receive any payment.
Bhozza said she has been trying to get her money and her outfit back from Makhadzi for months, but only got empty promises. She said she was told that she would be paid after the Hollywoodbets Durban July weekend, but that did not happen. She also said that other people who worked on the shoot were not paid either.
Makhadzi silent on the allegations
Makhadzi has not responded to the allegations that have made her trend on social media for the wrong reasons. This is not the first time that she has been accused of not paying for services rendered.
Earlier this week, it was reported that she failed to pay popular producer and event organiser Rabs Vhafuwi R16 000 after she did not show up for a gig in 2020 that she was booked for.
Earlier this year, she also made headlines after she left Open Mic Productions at the last minute.
