An emotional video of the late rapper AKA performing his rival Cassper Nyovest’s verse on the song “Ngud'” by Kwesta has been rediscovered, leaving Twitter users in tears.

South Africans are paying tribute to AKA, whose real name was Kiernan Forbes, who was senselessly killed by a suspected hitman in Morningside, Durban, just as he was preparing to perform at his birthday celebration event at Yugo.

Fans of the late “Jika” hitmaker have been paying their respects by sharing cherished memories of him on social media.

One particularly poignant moment that has moved people is a video of AKA performing the verse of his former adversary Cassper Nyovest on the song “Ngud’.

While alive, AKA and Cassper had a strained relationship and their disagreements sometimes escalated into physical altercations. They even attempted to settle their differences through a boxing match, but couldn’t come to a mutually agreeable agreement.

Despite their animosity towards each other, both AKA and Cassper held a deep respect for each other’s musical abilities. In fact, Cassper was once caught on camera grooving to AKA’s “Jika” in a club, to which AKA responded positively, saying, “I think it’s cool.”

A recent video of AKA singing Cassper Nyovest’s verse in “Ngud'” has touched the hearts of many and has gone viral.

In the old clip, AKA was in a club, and the song came on, and he said:

“Help me with this verse. Do you want me to rap this verse? You wanna see it live? Ayt I’ll do it for you. Pull your cameras out.”
