“Idols SA May Be Gone, But The Memories Will Last Forever”:Thembi Seete reflects on show’s cancellation
Idols SA judge, Thembi Seete, is reminiscing on her experience on the show after its cancellation. The show, which had 21 successful years, was recently axed.
According to Phil Mphela, Idols SA was renewed for season 19, but it is going to be the final season.
In an interview with Zimoja after the cancellation of Idols SA, Thembi Seete fondly reminisced on her time on the show. She shared that she had the best time of her life on Idols SA.
The actress, who made her first appearance on the music talent show in the 18th season, emphasized that it was a highlight of her life and that she would not swap her experience for anything else.
Thembi Seete went on to thank her fans for supporting her and for watching the talent show.
“Everything on the show was a surprise. To sum it up, this was the best time of my life. I have never been challenged like this ever in my career. I wouldn’t trade this experience for anything. Thank you, guys, for your support, and thank you for watching. Season 18 was the highlight of my life – 2022 I will never forget you.”
Fellow resident judge, Somizi Mhlongo, also reflected on his time on Idols SA. He echoed Thembi Seete’s sentiments and stated that season 18 was the best season of all. Somizi, renowned for his bold fashion choices, shared that he particularly enjoyed the make-up, hairstyles, and wardrobe transformations.
“To be quite honest, Season 18 has been the best season I’ve ever done, talent-wise. I had fun. With me, the outfit changes, hairstyles, make-up and glam were on another level. But the talent was on another level. Thank God and it’s because of you, guys.”
