Zozi Tunzi’s TV Debut with “Crown Chasers”

The Miss SA Organisation has recently announced that Zozibini Tunzi, former Miss Universe and Miss SA, will be hosting the highly anticipated Miss SA TV series called “Crown Chasers.” This exciting series is set to premiere on Saturday, 8 July at 16:00 on SABC 3, marking Zozi’s debut in the television industry.

Real-Life Scenarios and Challenges for Miss SA Finalists

The series will consist of five episodes, each lasting 60 minutes. Throughout the show, the Miss SA finalists will be immersed in real-life scenarios that test their abilities in accordance with the four pillars of Miss South Africa: duty, championship, empowerment, and beauty. These challenges will push the contestants to showcase their unique skills and qualities.

Weekly Challenges and Celebrity Judges

Every week, a challenge winner will be selected by a distinguished judging panel, featuring renowned personalities such as Bonang Matheba and Leandie du Randt. Additionally, a special celebrity guest judge will join the panel each week, adding excitement and diversity to the show. At the end of each episode, one contestant will unfortunately be eliminated by the judges, leaving seven finalists to proceed to the highly anticipated live grand finale.

Zozi’s Perspective on Hosting the TV Series

Expressing her enthusiasm for the show, Zozibini Tunzi shares, “Hosting a TV series for the first time has been a beautiful experience. It came as second nature to me because the show is about a world with which I am very familiar. What made it even more fulfilling was being a part of helping build it from the start, and every step of the way, from an executive producing perspective.” According to a press statement, Zozi encourages everyone to tune in to “Crown Chasers” as it provides an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the intricate process of selecting the next Miss South Africa.
