Emtee’s GBV Case Reportedly Postponed After Wife’s Withdrawal Request

South African rapper Emtee’s gender-based violence (GBV) case has allegedly been postponed following his pregnant wife Nicole Chinsamy’s request for withdrawal. According to Drum, Emtee, accompanied by stars Sjava and Ruff, as well as his family, appeared in court on April 25.

Emtee’s Baby Mama Accuses Him of GBV and opens a case

Emtee has been accused of GBV by his baby mama, who is currently pregnant with their third child. Nicole Chinsamy accused Emtee of abusing her while she was seven months pregnant, which the rapper denied. Nicole shared a video on social media, claiming Emtee had physically assaulted her on Valentine’s Day.

She shared that the rapper has been hitting her, and her mother was present during the live video. An organization that stands up for abused women reached out to Nicole and helped her sue the rapper.

Emtee’s Mother Claims “Truth Will Be Revealed”

Emtee’s mother, Phathiswa Ndevu, told Drum that the truth would be revealed soon. She stated that it was wrong to use accusations of abuse to tarnish her son’s image and that the real person being abused was the one who showed up in court that day.

Emtee Accused Nicole of GBV in 2020

This is not the first time GBV drama has occurred within the family. In 2020, Emtee accused Nicole of the same thing and claimed that his family was involved as well. He tweeted that she called the police on him twice, but he was innocent, and that she even physically assaulted him with the help of her family.
