In the world of South African politics and entertainment, sparks flew recently as actor Tumisho Masha and Dudu Zuma engaged in a heated exchange on social media. It all started when Masha took aim at politicians during President Cyril Ramaphosa’s visit to Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi’s funeral in Mahlabathini, KwaZulu-Natal.
Masha throws a jab at Jacob Zuma’s daughter Dudu Zuma
Masha, known for his role in “Mandela’s Gun,” playfully referred to the politicians, including Julius Malema and Bantu Holomisa, as “naughty boys” fanboying over President Ramaphosa, whom he humorously labeled “the headmaster.” He couldn’t resist a jab at Duduzile Zuma, questioning her absence during this political spectacle.
Dudu Zuma’s fiery response to the drowned actor
In a swift response, Duduzile Zuma resurfaced allegations of abuse against Tumisho Masha, sharing a 2016 article that detailed accusations made by his ex-wife, Zozibini Mtonga. In her retort, she asserted that her father, former President Jacob Zuma, received a warm welcome in contrast to Tumisho’s supposed unpopularity in KwaZulu-Natal.
This exchange continued as Tumisho Masha, now married to Chantel Wagner, refused to engage further, labeling Duduzile as “daddy’s cheerleader” and extending his best wishes for her endeavors.
Tumisho Masha’s abuse allegations and court case against former wife
As the controversy unfolds, it’s worth revisiting the past abuse allegations made against Tumisho Masha by his ex-wife, Zozibini Mtonga. These allegations came to light following their separation and custody battle, with Tumisho consistently denying the accusations, ultimately winning custody of their daughter.
News broke last week that Tumisho had won the court case against his ex-wife. In his statement he shared that his former wife was trying to use their daughter against him. The court however granted the child’s custody to the actor and his wife recently.
