Celebrity Chef Lentswe Bhengu-Mafoko Dies At 37

Lentswe Bhengu-Mafoko, a famous TV celebrity and chef, has died.

Chef Lentswe Bhengu-Mafoko died on Tuesday, February 28, 2023. He was 37 years old.

He passed away on Tuesday evening at the Sandton Medi-Clinic after being sick for a short time.

 Phil Mphela, an entertainment commentator, shared the sad news on Twitter, confirming the death of chef Lentswe Bhengu-Mafoko.

The deceased’s family released a statement confirming the death of the Bhengu-Mafoko.

It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the untimely passing of our beloved son and brother, Lentswe Bhengu-Mafoko fondly known to the media and his culinary family as Chef Lentswe.

“Lentswe had the misfortunate of suffering a short illness and succumbed last night, February 28 2021 at Sandton Medi-Clinic,” reads part of the statement.

The family of Chef Lentswe asked for privacy and respect as they mourn the death of the TV celebrity.

Lentswe was a famous chef also known for hosting two popular television shows – the Great SA Bake Off and the Phat Joe show.

After the passing of Bhengu-Mafoko, South Africans have been sending their condolence messages and comforting the deceased’s family.
