Another Blow| DJ Zinhle’s Harmony Shattered As Employee’s Sticky Fingers Snatch R96k Worth of Products

A staff member working at DJ Zinhle’s Era By DJ Zinhle store, located in Menlyn, Tshwane, was arrested on charges of theft.

The stolen merchandise is estimated to be valued at R96,000.

As reported by Daily Sun, Zinhle personally apprehended one of her employees at her store in Menlyn, Tshwane, on suspicion of theft.

While the exact date of the incident remains undisclosed, it has been reported that the alleged employee was arrested on January 12 and subsequently appeared at the Pretoria Magistrates Court.

The accused employee is facing allegations of stealing products valued at R96,000.

DJ Zinhle grew concerned about the losses incurred at the store, which raised her suspicions and ultimately led to the employee’s arrest.

According to the police report: “The complainant alleged that she employed (the suspect) at her store, then she started to become suspicious that the business wasn’t running well in terms of profit.”

The police report also revealed that stolen items were found at the employee’s residence.

“She then went with her friends to the store, and they bought some items. Later, she went back to the store and asked to see the money for the day, and she failed to produce. She gave her R200, then she confessed she took it,” it read.

 DJ ZINHLE’S MENLYN STORE

The Menlyn, Tshwane branch store, which is the subject of the recent incident, was one of DJ Zinhle’s latest additions to her expanding business.

It was launched in October last year, marking her sixth store.

Unfortunately, this is not the first time DJ Zinhle has experienced an incident involving an employee allegedly stealing from her.

In a separate case a few years ago, she filed a report against an employee who was accused of defrauding her business account of approximately R500,000.
