Nhlamulo “Nota” Baloyi, a well-known artist manager, got into trouble for what he said after the shooting of AKA.

On Friday night, AKA and his friend Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane were fatally shot outside Wish Restaurant on Florida Road in Durban.

Baloyi said that the millionaire Sandile Zungu, who owns AmaZulu Football Club, was one of the culprits responsible for the killing of the Congratulate singer.

Nota Baloyi received a letter demanding that he issues a public apology to Zungu and his friends by the end of the day on Wednesday, 15 February. If Nota didn’t apologize, Zungu would sue him for character defamation.

The letter of demand served to Baloyi reads:

The Instagram messages were wrongful and defamatory of our clients in that they were intended by you and were understood by your Instagram and other social media users to mean that:

  • Our clients aligned, associated themselves and/or conspired with the persons who are responsible for the killing of the late Mr Forbes.
  •  Our clients were involved in plotting the killing of the late Mr Forbes.
  •  Mr Zungu threatened the lives of the late Mr Forbes and his friends.
  •  Our client denies the allegations and innuendos communicated in the Instagram posts were also intended to promote or propagate against our clients.

After Sandile Zungu sent him a letter, Nota Baloyi humbly admitted he was wrong and apologized on his Instagram page.

As of late, Nota was taken to court by AKA after Anele “Nellie” Tembe died. AKA’s lawyers asked Nota to publicly apologize to the rapper AKA following his ‘reckless’ statement about Nellie.

Nota Baloyi was told not to talk about AKA ever again. Nota also had to pay AKA R500 000 as part of the damages. It is not known if Nota gave AKA the money before he passed away.
