Age Is Just A Number: 96-Year Old Granny Lands A Role In Muvhango

Gogo Tshinakaho Mananga, a 96-year-old from Tshedzani Village, Limpopo, has recently made her acting debut on SABC2’s popular soapie, Muvhango.

The actress landed the role of Vho-Nyadzenga, an ancestor and former high-ranking member of the royal family who now acts as Lindelani’s guide.

Gogo Tshinakaho Mananga was once cast as an extra during a location shoot in Venda and prayed for an opportunity to return to Muvhango with a role. Her dream has now come true, and she is making waves on the show. She relies on her casting agent, Nonkululeko Ndlovu, to help her with her lines, as she cannot read or write due to old age.
